Ingrid is a founder of the WordParty, and admits to being addicted to all things poetry. She is currently pursuing her M.F.A. in poetry at San Francisco State University, and enjoys spontaneity whether it means reading with a jazz band, collaborating with artists, or creating visual poetry.

Her work was selected to be in the 1st Visual Poetry & Performance Festival
at the Mission Cultural Center in San Francisco, and she has been a featured poet at diverse venues in the Bay Area such as The SF Public Library, The
De Young, The Beat Museum, The Randall Museum, The Lighthouse for the Blind and many others.

In addition to her work with the WordParty, Ingrid has organized numerous events in San Francisco including: a yearly celebration of Pablo Neruda’s work, Poems Under the Dome at City Hall, the WordParty Meets the Poetry Bus and She Speaks. (See links to see/hear her read)

She has written several collections of poetry: Urban Booty (1999); The Secrets
of Like
(2004); Toward the Light (2007), Marjorie Wood Gallery (2009) an art and  poetry collection from a collaborative show with artist Kyle Knobel. She is working on a new collection of poems about the experience of moving to Oakland.
